Yates Richard Roberts, 82, departed this life on Monday, February 11, 2013. He is survived by his long time love, Shirley McNanny; sister, June Maltba; children, Kathy Leach (Skip), Ethan Roberts (Tracey), Susan Pike (Mick), Sandy Striech (Jeff), Sherri Ragland (Gary), and Staci Robbins; and his best friend, Tommy Taylor. He has fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. And also, many close friends. His love and compassion for those in need has left a lasting imprint on our hearts. We love you. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231, on Saturday, February 16th, 2013 with a memorial service to follow at 11 AM.
